Program Overview

Striking & Kickboxing at Red Hawk Academy is built around elite stand-up development, focusing on boxing, kick mechanics, timing, and movement under pressure. Training is led by experienced coaches with real fight experience, including high-level striking influences seen at the UFC level. Notably, elite UFC champion Sean O’Malley has trained within the same broader system, reinforcing the standard of technical striking development delivered at the academy in the Phoenix West Valley.

Our Striking Development System

Boxing & Hand Fighting Fundamentals

Develop strong technical foundations in stance, footwork, combinations, defense, and controlled pressure. Training focuses on building proper mechanics from the ground up, including balance, head movement, guard positioning, and basic striking reactions. Students also learn how to manage distance, stay composed under pressure, and develop clean, repeatable striking habits that carry into all levels of training.

Kickboxing Mechanics & Range Control

Build proper kicking technique, distance management, and timing through structured pad work and drilling. Training emphasizes controlled mechanics for kicks, proper hip engagement, balance recovery, and seamless transitions between punches and kicks. Athletes also develop range awareness, learning how to enter, exit, and control exchanges without overcommitting or losing position.

Long-Term Striking Progression

Training is structured to support consistent improvement from beginner to advanced levels, helping athletes develop real striking ability through repetition, coaching feedback, and live application. As athletes progress, training intensity and technical detail increase, allowing for refinement of timing, accuracy, defensive awareness, and decision-making in live scenarios over time.
