Program Overview

Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Red Hawk Academy is built to help kids grow into confident, respectful, and disciplined individuals both on and off the mats. In a safe and structured environment, students learn how to move with purpose, listen, work with others, and build real confidence through consistent training. Every class is led by experienced coaches who understand how to work with kids at different ages and skill levels. The focus is always on creating a positive experience where students feel supported, encouraged, and challenged in the right way. Across the Phoenix West Valley, families trust this program not just for martial arts development, but for the life skills it helps build over time.

Our Youth Jiu-Jitsu System

Movement & Coordination Fundamentals

We start simple and build confidence early. Kids learn how to move better, stay balanced, and understand their bodies through fun, structured drills that don’t feel overwhelming. The goal here is comfort first — helping every child feel like they belong on the mats from day one.

Basic Grappling & Self-Defense Skills

Students are gently introduced to core Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu concepts like positioning, control, escaping safely, and awareness. Everything is taught in a calm, supervised environment where learning is encouraged and nothing is rushed or intimidating.

Controlled Partner Training

Kids begin working with partners in a highly structured way where safety and guidance come first. These drills help them build confidence, learn teamwork, and understand how to apply what they’re learning while still feeling fully supported by coaches at every step.
